well i was really bored one day, as u can imagine, an i was thinking that cobalt, iron, and nickle are the only 3 things that can be magnetized, so i was wondering if anyone has ever heard of strings made w/ something besides steel, b/c i think using a different metal would change the timbre

i play the violin as well as the bass and have tried before using my bow on my bass! hah sounds stupid but it does make quite a good sound ;D

also Jon Por Birgisson from Sigur Ros uses bows on his guitar, but he does it on every track, Id say he uses it in the most adept way.  |
