What should I clean my fretboard with, where do I get it and how much should I expect to pay?

Hello. Personally,I use fingerboard oil from www.mansons.co.uk which is lemon based and ideal for rosewood and ebony boards ( I've never had a maple fingerboard so can't offer advice on those, sorry). My only word of caution would be to not oil a fingerboard too often as you can saturate the wood to the point of it saturating and the frets becoming loose. Alun

PS, the Mansons oil is just over a fiver but should last ages.

Fast Fret can also be used on your fretboard not just your strings! you only need a tiny bit though this is about £5.50

I've been using a "miracle polishing cloth" containing lemon oil, from the Kleeneze catalogue. Only a couple of quid (if memory serves) and it seems to do the job admirably.

I think the fast fret works supurbly for cleaning both frets and strings. On the other hand i used to just use some oil surface cleaner, that also worked fine.
