Here's some of the legendary Booyaka stuff, it was recorded very cheaply though i added some samples here and there and remastered the final master...if that makes sense. www.soundclick.com/booyakaI was the Bass man and the bass is by far the least amazing stuff in the tunes...every decent bass player wanted my job but for some strange reason i kept it for 5 years and am still the bassman for reunions etc...must be cuz i'm funky and i know it....(NOW).....in a Bootsy style...i've graduated from the Mothership hee hee. I'd been playing bass less than 2 years when we recorded this demo. Booyaka features the amazing Guitar work of Jim streets who is now with Gran Torino. I'm still learning the tunes Skidlips XXX

The Ozzrics btw are playing the Rock Cafe 2000 on Sunday 16th January £12.50. I'm going because they rock!! I played there last week with Bayli Westwood - Nice little venue!!!

the booyaka profile on soundclick says the drummer was Leighton and I know the drumer in shebangg is called leighton too. I just wondered if they were the same person.
If I remember right the Grr festival was in '98. I still have my stewards T-shirt somewhere.
Where's the Rock cafe 2000?

Leyton was the first drummer in Booyaka and then left cuz of all the drugs and hassle in the band so fellow junky Slurpy stepped in, Slurpy was shit hot on the drums. Leyton does now play with Shebangg...he apparantly enjoys looking at the female vocalists arse. I saw Shebangg...average, but the Bass player was good and a nice chap too! leyton is gonna step in for a possible Xmas Booyaka reunion or maybe a gig Jan Feb time in or around Bridgnorth....it all depends if they can afford the helicopter fee's to get me from Devon to shropshire!
W.E. F.U.N.K...We funk...or deeper still the Mothership connection!!!!
