I think Bootsy is the funkiest Reason? BECAUSE HE IS!! Peace Bro

Na mate he was Sly's bassist Sly & the family stone, but his Larry Graham solo stuff is amazing of course it's peppered with the odd cheese moments but man serious stuff and he sings too...a lyric from the song "Pow"....."Pow! i got ya, i caught you with funks down" Hee hee man gotta dig. Also Louis Johnson he his the monster of Slap man...he'd eat eat several Flea's for breakfast. Theirs a vid called Right had technique which feature 10 great Bassist doing an interview and both Louis and Larry are on them, Larry's is so funny he does his interview playing a jazz groove and tells his story of how he invented Slap etc...i'm sure he's coked up! by the end of his story he's in a funking stuper! I got it for a fiver off Ebay! xxxx

;D I'm soooo thick
I think I remember a time over at yours in days gone by and you had this dvd/video playing with 2 guys sort of just chilling and playing all these cool riffs. Is that the one.
I'm going to have a search on ebay for some educational dvd's. I was at Ryans last night and he played me some awsome stuff. I need to improve my tech esp. in the slappin department!
Ryan man - What was the name of that seriously funky mofo?? I've forgot already!!

i think that may have been the Jaco one, i just watch that...it's way over my head....I've gone back to basics and had a few lessons. I was inspired by your tight groove and realised my bass is far to sloppy and needs a lot of polishing. I'm happy with my sound now and don't wanna change what i got as i'm gonna just get good with that (a good craftsman doesn't blame his/her tools). I've learn't 1% inspiration & 99% perspiration, i'm tryin this P would (and i don't mean pissing on Melissa) P for practice i've did it once in the last 3 months for nearly an hour...so far so good! that Ryan guys good...Hi by the way if he reads this. You should do some bass duo stuff. Oh check out a guy called Michael Mannering also known as the Manthing & Steve Lawson! peas & Groovey Skidlips xxx

TM also did some stuff with Steve Vai and his playing on that is awesome (off the top of my head it's the Vai album with Devin Townsend on vox).
