I am the bassest from The Exploits of Elaine, i use an Ashdown MAG C210T 300, great amp 300watts of earth moving tone, even makes my shitty Vintage bass sound great. Im soon to buy a 15" extension cab to make full use of the subharmonics! And that VU metre great eye candy!! I feel im gonna be with ahsdown for awhile!! ;D ;D

I tried one of those BX3000T's and on the day i had it, it went up in smoke....set off the fire alarms at our local studios here in Devon...Now if that wasn't bad enough check this:- I bought the Amp in March 2004 and it wasn't until Oct 2004 that i finally got my money back...bloody nightmare. Anyway the BX3000T is crap as i tried another one, the sound was cheap the build was crap and the Sub harmonics filter died in the first week apparantly. Top shite!!! I ended up getting a Hartke 3500 (350Watts) on recommendation and i can truly say it is nothing short of amazing. cost £319! And i know a guy who builds speakers and got a 4x10 with emminecence (can't spell) speakers delivered for £170...if anyone wants one of these speakers i'm more than happy to pass on the details etc...just email me at leefunkadelic@hotmail.com

I'd love to try a Hartke bass rig as I have heard they are the dogs Bollocks. At the moment I am still using my tried and tested Trace Elliot GPS7M Combo. Nice sound - in fact I have yet to try anything better, but i haven't tried that many rigs.
It's reliable as anything - I have never had a problem and has seen me through every gig I have ever had & thats lots. It's even had beer spilt on it and survived.
Skid - next time you are up these here parts in Telford bring your rig if you can, esp you bass and we'll hook up
Peace

I use the Hartke 2000 amp as a power amp - the tone is beautiful. I've only ever once used a whole Hartke rig (in Sexchanges in Birmingham a few years back) with a Yamaha 6 string and I nearly exploded it sounded so good.
Highly recommended. I use it for my rock stuff and get a nice dirty sound (helped, of course, by my POD), but it's so easy to get a perfectly clean, clear sound for funk as well - just an ace amp.

i resently purchased the behringer BX3000T head and the 4x10 and 1x15 cabs with the aluminuim cones. the head is great and has a good sound but the 4x10 dident have any balls to it and poped at practise, and because its 4 ohms you cant find a replasment speaker so i warn you there cheap cabs but not as powerfull as they say, or mabey i just push things too far i dont know
