I have a boss EQ and an overdrive, but more importantly - the Marshall Compressor... Compression is essential for bass guitar!

i have a tuner pedal - vital for stage when uve got loads of noise frm the the sdrumemr who keeps dropping drumsticks, a crybaby bass, and a boss chorus pedal, set at a very subtle amount, this i leave on all the time, and ocationaly turn my wah on for use as either a tone filter, or just expresion

I use a POD Pro and occasionally use distortion, chorus and wah.
I used to use my mate's Digitech 2112 as a pre amp and tended to use a bit of chorus to thicken up the sound, but with the POD I don't find that I need it as I now (effectively) play through an Ampeg SVT all the time, and that don't need no thickenin'!
Yeah, compression is fairly damn useful (again the POD has a great compressor) - I find it handy to pull out those pinch harmonics to really upset the guitarist!

Ive got a boss distortion, A boss auto wah, Danelectro triple flange and a danelectro phaser! I dont really use the Flange or the phaser that much, the flange is far too intense!! The only one i use all the time is the distortion! I dont use any effects with my fretless sounds too good to mess with!! Im after a compressor, so what would people suggest???

Id have to agree with rhino. The marshall compressor is essential to live bass playing and i would definately suggest buying it. With the ones ive used in the past it just pisses over the rest

also the EQ is pretty darn important...unless you have got a good array of tone contols on the bass itself

Does it matter the fact that Marshall pedal is designed for guitar?
