WHAT BASS DO YOU HAVE? Two 70’s Rickenbacker 4001’s, A 70’s Fender Precision, An Ibanez 4001 ‘law suit’ copy, some acoustic bass but I can’t remember who made it though.

IF YOU HAD £2000 WHAT BASS WOULD YOU BUY? An old USA Fender Jazz, but really you should put £10,000 cuz I also want a turquoise 4003, a Rikenbaker Cheyene, and I ought to have a 5 string really, all with cases and straps..................oh and chuck in a free set of strings, will ya! )

How long have you been playing bass: 20 years (started the week before Live Aid).
What bass do you have: A few, but my fave is my Overwater 5 string Jazz (My Baby!!!!).
What is your favourite band: Loads, but if you're gonna nail me to a few, I'll go for Level 42, Steely Dan, The Jam, Bruce Springsteen & the E St. Band, Robben Ford & the Blue Line. Like a lot of Jazz too.
Who is your favourite bass player: Jaco, Mark King, Roscoe Beck, Pino, James Jamerson, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Jerry Jemmott... oh...loads!!
If you had £2,000 for a new bass what would you buy: Already done it - my Overwater!!
What is your favourite bass line: Jaco's bass part on "Rice Puddings" (Portrait of Jaco Anthology).
